Harold E. Collins
Harold Collins is the senior partner of Collins & Collins. He was admitted to the Bar in 1962 and became the managing partner of Collins & Collins in 1972, after a successful ten-year partnership with Stephen Jurco in the firm of Jurco & Collins. Harold’s practice areas include business law, contracts, health care law, real estate law, estate planning, and personal injury.
As a lawyer, Mr. Collins has significant experience in the health care industry, including many years helping health service companies develop new business areas. He serves as general counsel for a hospital and a surgical center.

Michael R. Collins
Michael Collins became a partner in the firm in 1986 upon admittance to the Bar. He has focused his legal practice on serving the needs of the business community in the Chicago area, devoting half of his practice to litigation.

John P. Collins
John Collins began his legal career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, restructuring, recapitalizing, and reorganizing troubled companies. From 1992 until 1997, he served in the office of the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, prosecuting cases involving bank fraud, securities fraud, and other white collar crimes.
In 1997, he became general counsel for the United States Soccer Federation, Inc., responsible for all legal matters for U.S. Soccer, including corporate governance, not-for-profit law, licensing, trademarks, copyrights, contracts, labor, litigation, tax, insurance, employment, and other legal and business issues. In 2001, he joined the litigation law group at Jenkins & Gilchrist and chaired the sports, entertainment, and media team, representing clients in litigation matters, including antitrust, sports eligibility, construction, intellectual property, white-collar crime, torts, employment, and contract disputes.
Mr. Collins represents and advises not-for-profit clients, including sports organizations, on issues of governance, financing, sponsorship and licensing, real estate, websites and e-commerce, collective bargaining agreements, bankruptcy and restructuring, government regulation and relations, and risk management.
John Collins is an experienced trial and appellate attorney. His civil litigation experience includes antitrust, intellectual property, torts, employment law, and contract disputes. He advises clients on a variety of corporate matters including governance, sponsorship and licensing, not-for-profit issues, websites and e-business, risk management, restructuring, and bankruptcy, and negotiates collective bargaining agreements.
In 2002, Mr. Collins was profiled in the article “40 Under 40: 40 Illinois Lawyers Under Forty to Watch” by Law Bulletin Publishing Company, and he was selected by the Leading Lawyers’ Network as a leader in Sports and Entertainment Law in 2003, 2004, 2005
Mr. Collins is a respected teacher and lecturer, particularly in the area of sports law. He teaches sports law at the University of Chicago Law School and ethics at Loyola Graduate School of Business. He has lectured at colleges around the country and the world, including DePaul University, Valparaiso University, and HuaQiao University in China. He has given lectures for the past four years at the Sports Lawyers Association Conference and is on the board of advisors at the National Sports Law Institute at Marquette University and has given lectures many times.
